This next Harris Tweed sneaker is quite spezial, to say the least.

That's right. Just in time for the cold weather, adidas has cooked up a Handball Spezial sneaker made in collaboration with Harris Tweed.

Need proof? Just check for the official Harris Tweed stamp sewn on the back of the shoe's velvety tongue.

The Herringbone-patterned wool makes up the underlays, adding extra warmth and that classic fancy look to the model. Sprinkle in a bit of grandpa swag while we're at it.

'Tis the season for tweed sneakers, for sure. But honestly, it's been the year of the tweed sneaker, complete with several admirable efforts from the makers of the handspun Scottish wool.

We witnessed Nike drop those nice Harris Tweed Dunks, while Vans swaddled its classic skate shoes in the famous material.

Now, after wrapping the Handball Spezial in Bottega-style weave, adidas has turned the Samba-coded model into a beautiful Harris Tweed stepper.

The tweed Handball Spezial comes in brown and grey colorways, both slated to release on adidas Japan's website on December 18 for ¥19,800, or around $127.
