The mysterious new adidas Originals sneaker that has been making the rounds online, previewed by @inmidoutsole and Randy Galang, not to mention Jonah Hill (see below), has now been identified as the adidas Originals Lexicon Future. The sneaker is said to be dropping at some point in 2019.

Both Galang and @inmidoutsole had previously previewed the kicks on their Instagram accounts, giving followers a taste of the Three Stripes' plans for next year.

The shoe has a black or white mesh upper contrasted by oversized medial and lateral stripes, while, most intriguingly, the lacing system looks to be constructed using a transparent plastic tube. The adiPRENE midsole gets chunkier the closer it gets to the heel, with a gum outsole completing the look.

Our interest was first piqued when Jonah Hill previewed the Lexicon Future in October, flexing what appears to be a slight variant of the above white/blue colorway on Instagram.

Back then, Hill confirmed that he was working on something with adidas. No concrete details have been announced about the actor/director/style icon’s work with the German sportswear giant as yet.
