They don’t call it the OG for nothin’. Before the chunky dad shoe. Before the techy trail runner. Before all of it, there was the Air Max 90.

Nike's 1990 classic doesn't need a reintroduction, but Air Max Day is as good a reason as any to revisit it. The visible Air unit that changed everything is still here, still doing its thing, and unsurprisingly, at this point, still turning heads.

To mark the special occasion, the Infrared colourway is back, white, cool grey, and that unmistakable hit of vibrancy on the Air unit, heel clip, and outsole. The one that started it all, exactly as it always was.

Nike’s sneaker releases are like a never-ending carousel, but one thing they always get right is their dedication to legacy. It knows better than to bury its identity in the archive.

The waffle outsole, the sculpted mudguard, the mesh and leather upper, every detail exactly where it should be, exactly as it always has been. Some anniversaries call for reinvention. This one calls for the original.
