The partnership between ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov is the gift that keeps on giving to the sneaker world. Now, Kostadinov is back again with yet another great collaboration: the ASICS UB8-S GT-2160.

Known for his avant-garde approach to design, the Bulgarian designer has consistently delivered standout sneakers with the Japanese footwear brand, from the ASICS Gel-Quantum Zientzia to the Gel-Quantum models released earlier this year.

A fresh take on the classic GT-2160 running shoe, this latest release is a testament to Kostadinov's ability to merge functionality with high fashion.

The UB8-S GT-2160 is a two-piece marvel, designed under the Kiko Kostadinov Studio banner. This reimagined silhouette takes the timeless ASICS GT-2160 running shoe and elevates it with a few details that give the impression of being under the creative aesthetic motto of more is more

The sneaker's colorways — Azure Blue/Yellow and Brown Storm — are as eye-catching as they are versatile. The breathable mesh upper not only ensures comfort but also adds a futuristic edge to the design. Paired with the GEL midsole, the UB8-S GT-2160 offers a squash-shoe-meets-technical-runner vibe, making it a perfect blend of style and performance.

The familiar big strap on the tongue, a signature element from previous collaborations, makes a bold return, adding a distinctive touch to the shoe's aesthetic.

Quietly uploaded to the online shop of Antwerp-based retailer Lockwood Avenue, the sneakers are expected to arrive in more stores online in the coming weeks.

ASICS and Kiko Kostadinov continue to give us a seemingly endless supply of great dad shoes, and elevating them to a more refined tastefulness.
