Editor’s Notes: Temperatures may be cooling down as we near fall, but New Balance is still coming in hot with the sneaker drops.

The New Balance 1906RAT is slated to slide in this week as an atmos exclusive, meaning NB heads won't be able to cop these anywhere else except atmos' website and physical locations in Asia — for retail, at least.

As a follow-up to atmos' furry 2002Rs, the New Balance 1906RAT expands the Japanese brand's "RAT" series, which celebrates the city of Tokyo and all its glory, four-legged residents included.

Sure, the 1906's grey color scheme undoubtedly nods to the pesky rodents that scamper the corners of the Japanese capital.

However, the latest from atmos focuses on the beauty of Tokyo's beloved nighttime scene, hence the shoe's name, "Tokyo Dimension."

Purple hues, which strike the insole and midsole, capture the brilliant essence of Tokyo's bright lights, known to give the city a distinctive neon glow at night.

Then, there's the blotchy grey leather paneling on the upper, referencing the city's bustling asphalt streets strolled by many walks of life. I'm sure it's even enjoyed the pitter-patter of NBs.

A win for the 1906's steady comeback and another atmos banger, the New Balance 1906RAT "Tokyo Dimension" oozes the feels of a night on the Japanese town — this time, glowing and rodent-free (surely, a city can only dream of the latter).
