Editor’s Notes: Following four years of success, Balenciaga has released a new version of its popular sock sneaker, the Speed Trainer. The Speed 2.0, as its called, is designed by creative director Demna Gvasalia, although the silhouette doesn't look all that different from the original.

The Speed 2.0 does, however, incorporate a sole that is divided into five individual segments, enhancing support for different areas of the foot, whereas the Speed Trainer features a one-piece triple-arch sole design.
