Editor’s Notes: Influential music platform Boiler Room has expanded further into the apparel space with its first-ever ready to wear collection. Titled CLUB20/20, the release celebrates the energy of the dance-floor and is inspired by the company’s dedication to club culture.

The unisex, oversized streetwear packs an eclectic array of motifs in a nod to Boiler Room’s global audience. Rave-centric graphics arrive printed on black and glowstick-green blanks, each piece referencing the visual elements that define the hard and fast fringes of club culture. As part of the launch, Boiler Room will release collaborations with the likes of Mowalola, Crystallmess, and Asian Dope Boys, along with a string of special events.

“Everything we do is rooted in club culture," says Boiler Room's head of apparel, Simeon Merivale. "As Boiler Room turns 10 in 2020, we’re expanding our remit with the launch of an apparel range that draws directly on the energy of the dance. Like our events, our forthcoming collections will explore aesthetic codes and style generated by dancefloors, by expressions of identity, and by underground movements around the world.”

Founded in 2010, Boiler Room started with a webcam taped to a wall, broadcasting from a warehouse in London, opening a keyhole to the city’s underground. DIY at its finest; it has since built a unique archive, featuring over 4,000 performances by more than 5,000 artists, spanning 150 cities.
