Drake has released previous albums in physical formats, the last being his 2016 record Views released on CD and vinyl. His mixtapes If You’re Reading This It’s Too Late and What a Time to Be Alive were also released on vinyl that same year. More Life, Drake's playlist which dropped last year, has not received a physical release.

In its first few days, Scorpion has completely dominated streaming platforms, breaking the record for most single day album streams previously held by Post Malone's Beerbongs & Bentleys.
