Cheap, nylon, colorful track pants with snap buttons along either side are a ‘90s classic that, in my opinion, should be left in history books. However, when you put the same snap button closures along the side of workwear pants, as FACETASM and Dickies have, my opinion shifts.

A collaboration that has bore fruit over the years, FACETASM is back reworking items from Dickies vast archive of workwear styles and it has, once again, cast its eye onto the American label’s classic workwear pants.

The two brands are releasing three pairs of altered workwear pants (a beige, black, and purple version) with snap buttons running down either side.

It’s a feature I’ve not seen used on workwear pants before and as shown in the campaign for this collection, where the beige pants are unbuttoned to reveal neon green legwear, it offers interesting styling options.

Snap buttons were famously used in basketball, allowing NBA stars to easily dispatch their pants post warm-up, so FACETASM has also created a co-branded varsity jacket to go with each pair of pants.

The latest chapter in FACETASM and Dickies longstanding collaboration is available now from FACETASM’s online store and physical locations across Japan.

Once again Dickies, a workwear label that is almost 100 years old, is flexing its fashion credentials
