Fear of God is running plays right now. On the heels of announcing that Fear of God ESSENTIALS will collaborate with Union LA, we caught sight of new Fear of God x Birkenstock slides live at MR PORTER.

Hitting shelves on February 22, the new wool-felt version of the Fear of God x Birkenstock sandals is already proving to match the popularity of the initial suede release. Much like the first release — and every Fear of God release — the latest drop is available in a combination of muted, greyscale palettes.

Ash Mélange and Cement Mélange wool-felt form the uppers of the latest Fear of God x Birkenstock slides, complementing a light gum outsole and suede folded footbed. Birkenstock text branding to the inside of the shoe constitutes the only detailing.

Birkenstocks have become regular everyday footwear for the style-conscious set over the past few years, and while the classic suede Bostons might be nearing saturation, collaborations like Fear of God x Birkenstock provide the perfect opportunity to stand out. We loved the suede version, but the latest wool-felt drop cements this original style as the dream pair for the transitional weather.
