Norwegian outdoors brand, Helly Hansen, who saw somewhat of a revival in streetwear converations last year, has teamed up with German sportswear brand PUMA for a collection comprising both footwear and apparel. It takes inspiration from the ’90s with its vivid color blocking, adding outdoor-inspired details and elements throughout.

In addition to apparel like beanies, hoodies and a reversable puffer jacket, the collection includes three sneakers, the Nitefox, Trailfox MTS, and LQD CELL Omega. The vivid orange throughout sits in stark contrast to more pared-down blacks and whites, and when combined with the trail-ready tooling of the Trail- and Nitefox sneakers.

Highsnobiety was invited to an exclusive launch event in Helly Hansen's home of Oslo, Norway, where we put the Trailfox sneaker to the test while exploring the island archipelago that dots the expansive fjords just outside of the Oslo harbor.

Helly Hansen's category managing director Kristoffer Ulriksen told Highsnobiety "This collaboration was about stretching what we can be and what we can do, and being a bit playful." Speaking on his personal favorite piece from the collection, Ulriksen mentioned, "My favorite piece is the reversible jacket. When I was 16-year-old in the mid-90s, I had that jacket. The first reversible puffer. From a personal perspective, I wore that jacket, and I had PUMA shoes."

Available today from PUMA, Helly Hansen, and select retailers worldwide.
