Editor’s Notes: Luxury footwear maker Hender Scheme's two elevated versions of the Vans Slip-On, dubbed the Manual Industrial Product 17 and first released in 2017, are an homage so luxurious they border on art.

While plenty of brands have utilized a similar silhouette, the slip-on shape has become synonymous with Vans. And details on the Manual Industrial Product 17, such as an unbranded tag on the quarter panel and a logo-less heel tab on the sole, are subtle but unmistakable nods to Vans' Slip-On.

Due to their use of natural, un-dyed leather, the cowhide will eventually reveal a striking patina as the shoes age, in true Hender Scheme style. Coming in two colorways, you can cop both an all-black version or Hender Scheme’s classic veg-tanned leather at Coverchord via the links below for approximately $445.
