J Balvin's First Jordan 3 Isn't Even Out Yet & He's Already Flexing #2
J Balvin's anticipated Jordan 3 collaboration isn't even out yet, and there are already talks of a second one.
Whispers first suggested that J Balvin has already whipped up another Jordan 3 sneaker collab, expected to follow the "Medellín Sunset" pairs slated to drop this September.
J Balvin's second Jordan 3 colorway is rumored to be an homage to his son Rio, whom he welcomed into the world with his girlfriend Valentina Ferrer in 2021. The little one is but two years old but already has a Jordan sneaker in his honor. What a flex.
Balvin all but confirmed the existence of his AJ3 "Rio" sneakers during an impromptu pick-up basketball game with Miami Heat legend Jimmy Butler on August 30.
Inexplicably seen hooping together in Chelsea Park, the duo looked to be having fun but all eyes were on Balvin's feet, where the Colombian singer was wearing his second unreleased AJ3 sneaker.
Again, until we hear to the contrary, these joints are gonna be known as the "Rio" shoes.
No matter what, we'll have to patiently wait for official looks at Balvin's next Air Jordan 3 and even the shoe's details — which we suspect are pretty good, given his track record of glow-in-the-dark shoes and psychedelic Jordan 1s.
You can see from the first looks that Balvin's AJ3 "Rio" shoes area a heavy contrast to the Medellín Sunset 3s.
Whereas the latter wears a light, sky-inspired colorway, the "Rio" AJ3 sports a color palette of black, Solar Flare, and Total Crimson Abyss that's far darker than its predecessor.
The J Balvin x Air Jordan 3 "Rio" is reportedly eyeing a Summer 2024 release, so it's a stretch before the shoe sees the light of day (potentially). And, remember Balvin's first AJ3 still hasn't even arrived yet, despite months of teases.
No worries, though. The Medellín Sunset 3s are around the corner, presumably. And that's a start.
