John Legend and Chrissy Teigen's Super Bowl ad got a major edit in the week leading up to the big game, in order to respect the memory of the late Kobe Bryant.

The glamorous ad for Hyundai’s luxury vehicle brand Genesis’ first SUV celebrates "old luxury," and features a lavish cocktail party. The commercial was originally set to open with fancy partygoers arriving in front of a mansion in their over-the-top rides, including a helicopter.

However, the latter vehicle has since been edited out of the opening scene after the tragic helicopter accident in Calabasas, which killed the NBA icon, his 13-year-old daughter Gianna "Gigi" Bryant, and seven other passengers on Sunday.

A Genesis spokesperson made a statement to USA Today, saying,  "Today we re-cut our Super Bowl ad, to remove a stationary helicopter that was in the opening two seconds of the commercial. The ad had been filmed, produced, and delivered well before Sunday's tragedy, so we took down the spot out of compassion and sensitivity to the families."
