The family of late rapper Juice WRLD has released his first posthumous single and music video, “Righteous.”

Juice WRLD's mother, Carmela Wallace, Juice’s family, and his Grade A label made the announcement via his official Instagram, writing, "Choosing how to share his upcoming music with the world has been no easy feat. Honoring the love Juice felt for his fans while shining a light on his talents and his spirit are the most important parts of this process to us." The single suggests rumors of an imminent posthumous album might be true.

"Righteous" shows Juice candidly discussing his anxiety and how he would treat it by self-medicating. "When it's my time I'll know," he sings over the simple instrumental. The song arrives days after Juice's mother announced the Live Free 999 Fund, which aims to help youth struggling with mental illnesses like addiction, anxiety, and depression.

The accompanying visual intercuts unreleased footage of Juice WRLD touring and recording, with cameos from Young Thug, J. Cole, and more. Towards the end of the Steve Cannon-directed video, the archival film gives way to anime graphics of Juice fighting off dark forces, harnessing powers from his "999" insignia.
