Kanye West has always been a dreamer. His latest ambition is to unite arch rivals adidas and Nike for a collaboration.

West took to Twitter today to share the goal, while simultaneously continuing his pursuit of a seat on adidas' board. "My first pillar when I’m on the board of adidas will be an adidas Nike collaboration to support community growth," he said.

Kanye has been signed to adidas since 2013. Before joining the Three Stripes, he started his Yeezy sneaker line with Nike in 2009, although he went on to leave the brand due to the lack of royalties for the sales of his own shoe. Since then, Ye has flip-flopped between expressing his discontent with Nike and showing overall appreciation for the brand and its foremost designers.

A collaboration between adidas and Nike has to be a long shot, as the two have been in competition as the top sportswear brands for decades. Still, Kanye hopes to bring them together all in the name of "community growth," so he says.

First things first, West needs to get that position on adidas' board, then we'll see just how much weight he carries with the company. He's already threatened to wear Jordans — a product of Nike — until he gets that coveted seat.
