Editor's Notes: Gaming's crossover with fashion and sportswear continues to build an unstoppable pace, with third-party industries finally recognizing the scale of the gaming industry's global audience and influence.

High-fashion has frankly shown up late to the party, with the brands within its sphere using their bottomless budgets to scale up to make up for lost time. Case and point – Gucci x Xbox and Balenciaga x Fortnite.

Sportswear brands were fast quicker in their adoption of the gaming industry, thanks to the huge power of E-Sports. No longer are pro gaming's biggest stars overlooked as casual gamers with sponsorships; they're regarded in the same breath as physical athletes, which is reflected in the huge prize pots up for grabs in pro leagues.

One of the biggest in the industry, and the biggest pro tournament in China, is the League of Leagues Pro League. The tournament offers a prize pool of ¥2,350,000 (over $20,000), which is dwarfed by the $2,225,000 prize pool offered by the World Championship.

Nike aligned itself with the LPL back in 2019, providing footwear for all athletes in attendance. For the 2021 finals, winners also took home pairs of this exclusive Dunk Low.

With the holiday season upon us, the LPL Dunk Low is set to receive a wider release.

The sneaker features a multi-fabrication upper, including a textured pattern reminiscent of traditional Chinese fabrics atop suede underlays. Each panel is finished in a clean, black palette, with contrasting details in white and red.
