Double Tap to Zoom

Lil Uzi Vert just dropped his first single of the decade. It's called “That Way” and it interpolates Backstreet Boys' 1999 hit, “I Want It That Way.”

Unlike its syrupy boyband progenitor, “That Way” carries a less sentimental message. Uzi makes reference to his impressive car collection and raps verses you wouldn't catch the vanilla boy band espousing, such as “They laugh at me because I’m emo/ I killed my girlfriend, that’s why I’m single.”

According to Genius, “That Way” was previewed as a snippet with the track slated to be sold on February 29. Due to fear that it would be leaked, it was officially released the next day.

Uzi’s manager, Mean, and song producer, Supah Mario were reportedly unhappy with Roc Nation's decision to release the track, suggesting that it'll be featured on his upcoming album, Eternal Atake.

Fans have been waiting on the rapper’s long-awaited second studio album for months, following numerous delays. Here's everything we know about the album so far.
