If you’re still hunting for proof that Nike’s Jordan brand can do no wrong with its classics, look no further than the Air Jordan 13 Retro “White & University Red.” It's the kind of drop that cements the idea that: just because something’s simple, doesn’t mean it isn’t worth a shot (or a triple in this case).

Back in ‘98, when Michael Jordan was busy making history (again), the AJ13 was his weapon of choice. And while seven colorways dropped during that legendary run, MJ only ever brought four of the high-top versions to the court. Among them? This exact “Chicago” colorway, cementing its spot in basketball lore.

Since that first release, the Chicago 13 has popped up just twice, in 2010 and 2017. But every time it returns, it’s a reminder that some things simply don’t need a whole lot of tweaking.

Crisp white leather, those unmistakable red hits, and that holographic green “cat eye” details that made the 13 a classic in the first place.

You could break these out for a game, sure, but they’ll probably pull more looks on the street than the hardwood. For OG heads, it’s a nostalgia trip. For everyone else, it’s just a clean pair of Jordans done right.
