It has long been rumored that Nike would be bringing back its ’90s Futura Logo on some of its football kits this season. The Swoosh has now confirmed those rumors by unveiling the Chelsea and Tottenham Hotspur third kits, which will be worn in European competition by both English sides.

Both jerseys feature a retro cut, with vintage-inspired sleeves and collars. Chelsea’s third kit arrives in all black with flashes of bright orange, taken from the club’s 1994/96 away shirt. A jacquard knit and the squared-off collar add to the distinct ’90s look.

The Tottenham jersey is a light blue shade dug out from the club’s archives. An all-over, alternating matte/shine jacquard “Spurs” graphic covers the entirety of the kit, and a classic button-down collar completes the vintage feel.

“It’s one of my favorite jerseys for sure, the light blue pops and the retro aesthetic goes down well," says lifelong Spurs fan and UK rapper AJ Tracey, who is also featured in the campaign imagery. "I can’t wait to wear it to the European games, especially this season."

Nike’s Futura Logo is a hallmark of ’90s football, an era in which jerseys stood out as some of the most stylish, both on and off the pitch. Nike’s decision to bring back the logo, as well as the other retro-inspired details it has built into the new designs, speaks to the Swoosh’s ability find the best of both worlds and give football fans the fresh retro kits they want.

Both retro-inspired jerseys are available now via Nike.
