It's been a while since Nike dropped tweed Dunk shoes, let alone pairs made with actual Harris Tweed, the warm and textural wool handwoven by Scottish islanders.

But with a new sneaker team-up on the horizon, consider the wait for stylish tweed Dunks now over.

Harris Tweed and Nike have collaborated on a new Dunk Low sneaker featuring the classic Swoosh shoe wrapped in the visually stunning wool fabric, giving the classic skate shoe a textural upgrade worthy of a museum.

One new black-and-white Harris Tweed Dunk colorway even features a mismatched woven upper, mixing together houndstooth and check patterns.

Nike and Harris Tweed's latest collaborative Dunk is fashionable through and through, honestly.

The shoes even have frayed shoelaces, a smooth suede-like Swoosh, and a semi-silky tongue backing that all serve to amp up its already impressive presence.

The icing on the cake? An official Harris Tweed stamp — not to be confused with the Vivienne Westwood logo — lands on shoe's fuzzed-up tongue, confirming this impressive Nike Dunk sneaker is indeed made with the best of the best.

There's been patchwork denim Dunks, some sumptuous basket-style pairs, and even Harris Tweed Blazers from way back

But it's great to see tweed Dunks officially back on the menu, even better ones crafted with top-tier Harris Tweed.

In addition to the scheme pictured above, the Harris Tweed x Nike Dunk Low is expected to drop in two other colors this fall season on Nike's website.
