Mental Athletic, an editorial project founded last year based around running culture, is hitting the streets of its Milanese hometown together with Nike.

From a small kiosk located in XXIV Maggio, the two are hosting different activities with the aim of honoring the many faces of running. And its next move is hosting a gift shop.

The event includes various custom souvenirs and limited-edition products created by Mental Athletic and Nike. These are: postcards, posters, caps, graphic tees, pills, stickers, zines, books and customized shoes in very limited quantities. 

To get your hands on the items from the giveaway, you have to register and get to the meeting point in good time — it is a first come, first served event!

“Running is a huge trend. We want to elevate [the sport] in a different way [and] talk to a different audience,” Gabriele Casaccia, founder of Mental Athletic, explained during Highsnobiety’s ISPO 520M event in Munich last year. “We want to propose ourselves as a different reality that can be really disruptive and create something unexpected.” 

Now having released its second print issue and teaming up with the biggest brands in sportswear, Casaccia is quickly making sure Mental Athletic grows to achieve its goals.
