Double Tap to Zoom

2022 is the year when collaborations broke off the leash. In the past, seeing a storied luxury house team up with a sportswear giant was near-enough unthinkable, but we’ve been proven time and time again in recent years that it’s not only possible but also effective. The latest evidence came from Balenciaga x adidas which debuted at Balenciaga’s Spring/Summer 2023 show.

For many months, all the internet could do was wait until there was another teaser; an adidas bag whose three steps were broken by a Balenciaga logo or prospective price list supposedly leaked. But, on November 3, the full collection dropped on the Balenciaga site as well as the adidas CONFIRMED app.

Sure, we had ample warning, but it didn’t help anyone trying to cop the more sought-after pieces which sold out expectedly quickly. Luckily, Balenciaga x adidas was never destined to drop exclusively at the two makers’ sites. For anyone that missed out on the piece they were umming and ahhing about, there’s a shining light in the form of Luisaviaroma, which just opened up its pre-orders.

You have a second chance to pre-order Balenciaga x adidas in full at Luisaviaroma, but to make things a little easier for you, we’ve picked out some of our favourite pieces below.
