With the need for environmentally-friendly initiatives across the fashion market becoming ever more apparent, Ralph Lauren has committed to removing at least 170 million plastic bottles from landfills and oceans by 2025.

Reimagining its iconic Polo shirt design, Ralph Lauren’s “Earth Polo” has been crafted from thread derived entirely from recycled plastic bottles and dyed using an innovative, zero-water process. Each Polo has been made form an average of 12 bottles and done in collaboration with First Mile, an organization focused on sustainability and positive social impact across the globe.

Ralph Lauren’s executive vice president, chief supply chain and sustainability officer, Halide Alagoz, believes that it is with a “spirit of timelessness” that the company approaches the often-discussed topic of sustainability.

Take a look at the new “Earth Polo” above, and keep an eye out for its release today, April 18, on ralphlauren.com in green, white, navy and light blue colorways.
