Real Madrid shared a video on Twitter giving its followers a rendered look at what its iconic Santiago Bernabeu stadium will look like after the renovations are completed. The project was set into motion in 2018 and will cost the club an estimated €400 million (approximately $436 million).

The main aim of the renovations is to improve the facilities, as the 81,000 capacity will not be expanded. Instead, several shops, restaurants, and a hotel will be added to the building, as well as a retractable roof. Apparently, some rooms of the planned hotel will have views of the pitch.

The new stadium was supposed to be finished in 2023, though the indefinite suspension of the Spanish football league due to Covid-19, means construction is ahead of schedule.
