Disclaimer: This post is about Rihanna's style and will make no mention of the album that is still owed to us.

Some people watch fashion week to clue up on style forecasts, others just watch Rihanna – I vote we should all be the latter. If there's one person whose street style is always ahead of the curve it's the reigning Bad Gal and her latest fit is just another reminder of her sartorial superiority.

On Thursday, Rih was spotted out and about in LA where she gave us a concise lesson on effortlessly layering a tonal green fit. When people think of color-coordinating fits they often take the brief too far – think, less high fashion, more Teletubby. If Rihanna's ensemble is anything to go by, less is in fact more.

Let's break it down: Rihanna layered a shearling biker jacket (open of course) with a cozy striped green cardigan by Marni. Underneath, a lacy black crop top was casually paired with baggy green joggers by Total Luxury. And that's not all, a style queen like Rihanna knows the devil's in the details. Emerald hints in her jewelry added another layer of refinement to the tonal fit and a Goyard mini Saigon purse in money green gave the otherwise casual look a formal finish.

The key here isn't to go all out with the green theme. RiRi offset the verdant pieces by quietly weaving together the look with another color story. White detailing on her cardigan, top, and joggers found their match in clean white pumps. Such cozy, wholesome dressing with that level of sophistication is exactly why Rihanna is a fashion killer.

But just because it looks expensive (and, well, it is) doesn't mean you have to break the bank to recreate the look. Instead of splurging on Rih's totally luxurious sweats, we've included some more affordable tonal green options below. And don't forget to wear your mask, because if Rihanna can make her look panny-friendly, so can you.
