Double Tap to Zoom

Stormzy returns with his first full-length album since 2017, Heavy Is The Head. The album dropped earlier today and features previously released tracks, “Vossi Bop,” “Wiley Flow” and “Own It.”

The 16-track album sees Stormzy reckoning with the pressures of fame and, according to Apple Music, his fate as a “young man ordained spokesperson for his generation.” On “AUDACITY,” for example, he references his historic Glastonbury set where he wore a stab-proof Union Jack vest declaring, “When Banksy put the vest on me, it felt like God was testing me.”

The 16-track album features contributions from H.E.R, Burna Boy, and Ed Sheeran as well as Yebba, Aitch, and Tiana Major 9. It also samples classic bangers such as Mary Mary's 1999 track "Shackles (Praise You)" and ’00s British R&B band, Big Brovaz.
