As announced back in November, JW Anderson x Uniqlo is set to return to shelves for the SS18 season after a wildly successful first collaboration last year. The designer’s debut Uniqlo collection focused on bringing British classics to the masses, while his second taps a specific time period and place: 1950s Brighton Beach.

Jonathan Anderson’s collection aims to celebrate the 1950s heydays of the popular summer destination. In true Uniqlo fashion, quality fabrics are paired with affordable retail prices, ranging from $3 for socks to $60 for outerwear.

Unisex designs are at the heart of the range which includes T-shirts, hats, bags, and polo shirts, reaffirming Uniqlo and Anderson’s commitment to bringing their products to everyone, regardless of age or gender.

Commenting on his second collection, Anderson says:  “In the 2nd collection of the collaboration, I’m looking for this idea of ‘British Summer,' the idea of being on Brighton beach. Something which is very lightweight, very airy, with a lot of linen, and cotton that has a 1950s subcultural movement. With a little bit of ease and something which is quintessential.”

Flip through the lookbook images above and stay tuned for the official launch online on April 19. Brick and mortar stores will start stocking the collection on April 20.
