Vans' story comes with all sorts of twists and turns, to the point that its latest Slip-on sneaker comes knotted.

That's right. The skateboarding brand has introduced a new sneaker called the Slip-on 98 Knotted Vibram, which truly lives up to its name. It features a large knotted rope detail that instantly transforms this easy-on skate classic into the biggest statement piece at the session. Call it the "Slipknot" skate shoe even.

As its name implies, the canvas Vans sneaker also features Vibram outsoles, a quieter upgrade that subtly ruggedizes the model and helps provides excellent traction across various surfaces.

The knotted Slip-on is an OTW model, which explains the adventurous design choice as well as the top-tier materials.

Vans' OTW is behind the brand's more high-end sneakers, equipped with premier finishes and tweaks like Vibram and GORE-TEX. The imprint honestly takes the brand's most classic models beyond the ramps, creating these extremely stylish, highly versatile models like Half Cabs that border on outdoor boot territory and even brogue Authentics on dress shoe levels.

If we've learned anything from the OTW's latest Slip-on, it's that the high-end line is knot playing around.

The new OTW Slip-On 98 Knot Vibram sneaker is scheduled to drop on Vans' website on April 14 for $110, offered in black/white and tonal blue colorways.
