Instead of standard canvas or leather, the Vans Premium Authentic Style 44’s upper is made with a perforated knit material that wears Vans' signature checkered pattern in a motif called “Punk Check.” Cozy, maybe even edgy —  but still classic.

Elsewhere, the snug sneaker wears the glossy sidewalls that are practically synonymous with Vans' Authentic Style 44 sneakers. Whether it be a washed-up shredder or a blinged-out thrasher, Vans' Authentic sneakers are prone to a bit of luxury.

Available on the Vans website for $90, the Authentic Style 44 sneaker comes in a few colorways, including red and blue, green and blue, and, of course, that classic black and white checkered print.
