Here's a Closer Look at Every OFF-WHITE x Nike Sample in Virgil Abloh's MCA Exhibition
The Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago has now opened the doors to Virgil Abloh's "Figures of Speech" exhibition, the first comprehensive show devoted to the designer.
The exhibition contains a stunning array of sneaker samples that were presumably part of the development of Abloh's OFF-WHITE x Nike "The Ten" collection, which launched in late 2017. Among the samples are shoes that made the final collection, including reworked Air Prestos, Air VaporMaxs, and Air Force 1s, as well as silhouettes that never made the cut, including a tantalizing handful of Air Jordans, including a deconstructed yellow Air Jordan 1.
While "The Ten" initially consisted of 10 silhouettes, the collection was later expanded to include more. Yet, as the images above indicate, plenty of samples and colorways remained on the cutting room floor.
The MCA Chicago has shared detailed images of every single silhouette featured in the exhibition, as well as the name of the model and the collection it was designed for. You can check that out here.
